Most monuments are installed 6 to 12 weeks after you approve the final design. Cemetery approval adds some time at the front, and we start that paperwork right away. In winter, installation depends on ground conditions here in Northeast Ohio; if frost delays us, we tell you honestly and set the stone as soon as the ground allows.

Yes, all of it. Every cemetery has its own monument regulations covering size, base, finish, and placement. We prepare the application, submit it, and follow up with the cemetery office until it is approved. You never have to chase a form.

Always. Nothing is carved until you approve a scaled drawing showing every letter, date, and design element exactly as it will appear in stone. Revisions are welcome, and we would rather redraw five times than carve once wrong.

Honest ranges: flat markers typically run $900 to $2,400, slant markers $1,600 to $3,400, and upright monuments $2,800 to $7,500 depending on granite, size, and carving. Larger family and estate monuments run higher. These are typical ranges, confirmed in your written quote before anything begins.

You receive a written quote first, with every line itemized. A deposit begins the work, and the balance is due before installation. We walk through the schedule with you in plain terms, and there are never surprise charges.

Yes. We do on-site engraving at the cemetery, matching the existing lettering style and finish. The monument never has to be moved, and most additions are completed in a single visit.

Usually, yes. From photos and a few measurements we can match granite color, shape, finish, and lettering closely enough that companion stones read as a set. If an exact granite is no longer quarried, we show you the nearest match before you decide.

Yes. Ceramic photo portraits are kiln-fired to withstand Ohio weather, and laser etching can reproduce a photograph directly in polished granite. Both are beautiful ways to keep a face with a name, and we will show you samples of each.

Yes, and we take it seriously. We design within Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, and Buddhist traditions, with correct symbols, scripts, and customs, and we are glad to design a celebration-of-life memorial outside any tradition.

Try the monument designer

Experienced monument crews install every stone on a properly prepared foundation, and the foundation and setting appear as their own lines in your written quote. Where a cemetery requires that its own staff pour the foundation, we tell you up front and coordinate it for you.

Very little. Granite is one of the hardest natural stones, and a gentle rinse with water and a soft brush once or twice a year keeps it beautiful. We explain proper cleaning at installation, including what never to use on stone.

Yes. We clean, level, and re-letter older stones, and we can assess a leaning or damaged monument and give you honest options. Sometimes the right answer is a careful cleaning rather than a replacement, and we will tell you when it is.

Yes. Eligible veterans are entitled to a government-provided headstone or marker at no cost, and we handle the application paperwork for your family. If a cemetery charges a setting fee, we tell you before anything is ordered so there are no surprises.
